# Project wallet

> For a fundraiser or a time-boxed cause.

For something that is not you and is not a business — a fundraiser, a campaign, a
collection, a class trip, a farewell gift. Anything where money should be kept
apart from your own and be obviously *for* something.

Your own identity must be verified before you can create one.

## Creating it

Two fields, and it exists:

* **Project name** — what people will see. Choose carefully, because it cannot be
  changed afterwards.
* **Public message** — optional, up to 280 characters. What the project is, why
  it matters, who it helps.

It can receive money straight away. No documents, no waiting, no approval.

## What it gives you

Its own balance, kept separate from every other wallet you hold. Its own public
card and short link to share. Its own QR code, and a printable tip card you can
put on a table or a noticeboard.

You can turn on a **supporter wall**, which shows who has contributed — people
choose for themselves whether their name appears there. Reviews work too.

<Note>
  There is no fundraising target, and no deadline you can set. A project wallet
  does not track progress toward a goal and will not close itself on a date you
  choose — it is a labelled wallet with its own card, not a campaign page. Put
  the goal in the public message and share the total yourself.
</Note>

## Getting money out

Exactly like any other wallet. Withdraw to your verified bank account or eWallet
under the normal rules — the money in a project wallet is yours to move.

## When it is over

**Settings → Edit wallet profile → Deactivate wallet.** It stops receiving and
disappears from discovery, but the balance stays yours and you can still withdraw
it afterwards.

This cannot be undone from the app, so do it when the thing is genuinely
finished. If you run the same fundraiser again next year, make a new wallet — you
keep the old one's record that way.

## Editing later

The picture, the public message, contact visibility and the supporter wall.
The name and the link are fixed.
