We're building Loosh.

Loosh is a digital wallet for South Africa. It's a way to send and receive money that's as ordinary as sending a message — without the friction of bank apps, the cost of card readers, or the awkwardness of asking for someone's account number.

The company

Loosh is built by Alchemy Digital Cloud (Pty) Ltd, a South African private company registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) under number 2025/028829/07. Our D-U-N-S number is 567455153.

We're based in South Africa. We bank with First National Bank. We build the things we ship, and we hold ourselves to the standards we'd want a custodian of our money to hold.

What we're building

Loosh is a mobile-first wallet. You install the app, you verify yourself once (we follow FICA's KYC requirements), and from then on you can:

• Top up your wallet from any South African card.
• Send to anyone with a phone number, even if they're not on Loosh yet.
• Be paid through your public Loosh profile — a link anyone can use.
• Issue cash tokens — one-time amounts that can be claimed by whoever has the link.
• Withdraw your balance to your South African bank account.

We're a small team. We move carefully because we're moving money. We'd rather ship slowly and never lose a rand than ship fast and have to apologise.
