For a registered organization — an NPO, a school, a church, a charity. It is the one wallet type that has to prove what it is before it can receive money.
Your own identity must be verified before you can create one.
Creating it
Two fields: the organization’s name and an optional public message. Then you go straight to verification, because until that is done the wallet cannot receive.
An unverified organization wallet cannot be paid. People cannot send to it, cash tokens cannot be redeemed into it, and the Send button on its public card is disabled. Verification is not optional paperwork here — it is what turns the wallet on.
Verification
You submit:
- Legal name as registered, and the registration number — CIPC, trust or NPO
- Organization type — company, NPC, NPO, trust, sole proprietor, partnership, cooperative or other
- Tax number, if applicable
- A registration certificate or letter of incorporation, as a PDF
If you pick NPO or Non-profit company (NPC), an NPO certificate is required as well.
Operations personnel at Loosh reviews it — usually within two business days. You get a notification either way.
While you wait, and after
Pending shows a Verification pending banner on the wallet and an amber chip on its public card. You can still set the wallet up: its picture, its message, the supporter wall, its QR code and printed card. You can even top it up from your own card. What you cannot do is be paid by anyone else.
Approved flips it on. The chip turns green, the wallet receives normally, and the verified details become visible to you on the Organization details screen.
Declined shows the reviewer’s reason on the wallet, and Resubmit reopens the verification form. You will need to enter the details and upload the documents again — a declined submission’s files are not kept. There is no limit on attempts. The public never sees that it was declined; the card looks the same as pending.
Afterwards
You can change the picture, the public message, contact visibility and the supporter wall. The registered legal details are fixed once verified — a correction means contacting support.
