Personal wallet

Your personal wallet is made for you when you finish signing up. You do not create it, and you only ever have one — it is the wallet Loosh treats as you.

Its name and picture come from your profile

The wallet carries your legal name and your profile photo, and neither can be edited on the wallet itself. Change them under Account → Profile and the wallet follows automatically. That is deliberate: this is the wallet people pay when they mean to pay you, so it should not be able to say something different to your verified identity. This is also the default wallet that you use to send a tip, donation, gift or any other kind of money.

What it does

Everything the other types do — top up, send, receive, cash tokens, pledges, a public card, a QR code and a printable tip card. It is also the wallet Loosh reaches for first when you send money, so it is the default source unless you pick another. Two differences worth knowing:

• No supporter wall. Reviews yes, a public wall of who paid you no. That is a feature for wallets representing a business or a cause, not for a person’s own wallet.
• It cannot be closed on its own. There is no Deactivate here — your personal wallet ends when your account does, under Account → Deactivate account.

Your sign-up bonus lands here

The bonus promised when you joined is attached to this wallet. It shows as Bonus pending until your identity is verified and approved, and it is not part of your balance until then — you cannot send or withdraw it while it is pending. One bonus per person, so a second account using the same ID document will not receive another bonus. More on verification.

Keeping it private

Every wallet, including this one, has a public card by default so people can pay you. You control what appears on it — your bio, and whether your cell number, email or WhatsApp are shown — from Settings → Edit wallet profile.
